Sobre Takedown
Existen dos versiones de la canción: la versión de la película, cantada por los actores de doblaje, y la versión oficial de la banda sonora interpretada por Twice.
La película trata sobre un girl group de K-pop formado por tres integrantes llamado HUNTR/X. El mundo las celebra como cantantes, pero entre bambalinas cazan demonios con el objetivo de eliminarlos por completo. Entre sus herramientas no solo hay espadas, sino también su música. Cuando de repente un encantador boy group demoníaco amenaza a sus fans, la situación se pone seria para HUNTR/X.
Para reconquistar a sus fans, HUNTR/X quiere vencer a los Saja Boys en los Idol Awards con un diss track llamado “Takedown”. Con la canción, HUNTR/X expresa su repulsión hacia los demonios y declara que no se dejarán engañar y que acabarán con ellos. Incluso describen que quieren despedazarlos y arrancarles el corazón.
La versión de Twice se lanzó digitalmente un día antes del estreno de la película y ya se había escuchado 4 millones de veces en una semana. “Takedown” llamó la atención por su ambiente oscuro, que contrasta fuertemente con la imagen alegre y desenfadada de Twice.
